If it's not one thing, It's another.



Meredith learned the hard way to day that you are not supposed use your power windows on days where it's 15 degrees or less as you may not be able to get them back up again. The car hadn't been started before she left so it hadn't had time to warm up enough to really be using it. At first when she called saying she couldn't get it to go back up, I figured just some ice had gotten down in the window channel or something but after about 20 minutes of trying to thaw everything out with the portable heater, there was no progress. The window motor would recoil allowing the glass to drop, but didnt have any strength to push back up. I took the trim all apart and was able to slowly hand crank the motor up so the glass would be sealed shut. This is not the best weather to be working on a vehicle outside in the cold so it wasn't exactly fun. I think the motor needs to be replaced but we'll see what happens when the weather is warm enough to try lowering it again.
