Family Ski Trip 3/1

The rental department was very busy so for a 12-4 ski, I was glad we pushed to be there for 11. Had we not, the line was way out the door waiting as the weather was clear and about 25 degrees. It took us about 20 minutes to get skis and get outside.

We got Cosmo outside and on his skis first and let him get a feel for the snow. He balanced down a small section next to the lodge a few times before we even put our skis on. After a couple trips up and down, it was time for the lift.

I went down with Cosmo first and stopped him half way down the trail so we could see how Cooper was doing. He was much more comfortable this time. 

He had his balance and was able to steer himself. 

End of the World

Cooper lost his first tooth on its own today. He had had a loose one pulled by the dentist so it didnt have a chance to fully come out on its own. Today, a hawaiian sweet roll and a bowl of ice cream took care of the front one. Youd think the world had come to an end as when it came out, there was a few drops of blood. Cooper and blood dont go together so well so he was in a bit of a panic that he needed to do something. After a few swishes of water, he calmed down. His tongue wont leave the empty slot now.

Guess who's visiting tonight?

Cooper went in for a cavity fill and came out with one less tooth. His adult teeth arent pushing the baby teeth out very fast so the dentist popped one out for him to try to loosen up the works.

Downtown Trick or Treats

A majority of the stores downtown handed out candy today as Halloween, most of them are closed. They got some candy, saw some awesome other minions, and got some exercise.

Almost There

Cooper has not really wanted to put much effort into riding his bike without training wheels this summer. I finally got him to try today by removing both training wheels instead of just one,  so he had to focus on balancing. After a few attempts, he was able to get his balance and just needs to work on keeping up enough pedal power to avoid stopping so many times.

First Day of School

First day of pre k for Cosmo was a success. He did both directions on the bus from BCLC and had a great time meeting new kids. Cooper is a veteran and didnt have much to say other than that they got to go to the library today.

Holy Unhistoric Batman

Is this the State Of Maine's doing or is it the control of the Friends of Fort Knox? Either way, its a great way to ruin the park.

Proud Gardners

We're pretty proud of our sunflowers this morning. They've survived the chipmunks as well the japenese beetles and are running around 10 feet tall. They're pretty much done for height now and the heads will just get much bigger.

Garden Success

The boys were able to harvest two cucumbers from the garden this weekend. Cooper said they tasted better than the store bought ones.

Bar Harbor Trip

Took a quick day trip to Bar Harbor today as Erika's been itching to go and we just haven't taken the time to get there...
