Getting behind again so here's a quickie from my phone...More to come with halloween being tomorrow. This is Coop sporting my Kangol hat. He looks better in it than I do...
A little bit of my everyday life. Sometimes I share too much, sometimes I go days without posting, then add two or three posts in a day. It's just for fun...

Pre-K Graduation
Coopers Pre-K graduation was quick and easy. He's growing so fast. Now that he's actually in Kindergarten, the time seems to be going so much faster. Its no longer Cooper just going to daycare and staying there for the day. He's taking the bus to school all on his own, he's going on field trips without one of his parents as a chaperon, and he's coming home with tidbits of knowledge that surprise me all the time.

Bowling for Birthdays
One of Coopers teachers and long time friends has a nephew a year or so younger. Cooper and Brock like to play together when schedules allow for it. These few shots of from Brocks birthday party at Bangor/Brewer Lanes. Of course, you can't a group of kids to a bowling alley that also has video games and expect them not to want to play.
Cosmo got in on the action as well. It may have taken his balls a long time to get down the lane, but he knocked over a few pins that day.

Partners in Crime
Cooper and Brayden. Those two names when spoken in the same sentence are usually followed by "got in trouble for....". These two boys while at Brewer Children's Learning Center in Brewer were absolutely the most troublesome duo but best of friends. They didn't however get much playtime outside of the daycare as schedules seemed to be really difficult to align. We did however get over to their house for an afternoon of hanging out. Even though they had a blast together, it was a rough afternoon for Cooper physically as he took a tumble down a set of deck stairs head first. He got his hands out in front of him but he couldn't stop his face from hitting at least one of the steps giving him a bloody nose. Luckily, he didn't break his nose or have his teeth go through his lip or anything during the fall but as I type this, I can easily re-live the exact moment in my head and it was a horrible feeling. After the nose bleed, Brayden's mom provided the perfect medicice...a green popsicle and all was good.
Cosmo tried his hand at driving while the boys played a little baseball.
The water was a little bit cold and the boys decided they'd share a good scream.
Coz was all set with getting in the pool. He was much happier playing in the water table. He was all set with swimming in that pool. He wouldn't even let me put his feet in the water.
After about 45 minutes of playing in a cold garden hose filled pool, the boys lips were good and purple but we got them to sit quickly for a picture together.

Railway Village, Boothbay, Maine
This was our second year going to the Railway Village in Boothbay, Maine in late August. It's been chilly both times but Cooper has had fun both times. He likes riding the train but I think he's always more interested in feeding the goats. They had a few more buildings open this time so we were able to spend more time looking through the old village they have set up. Cooper didn't really make it into a lot of the pictures this time as he'd been before and I already have a blog post from that trip on here. It was Cosmo's first time so he was the primary focus.
Cosmo wouldn't actually hold the pellets they have to feed the goats with so they weren't giving him much love. You can kind of see the half disappointment on his face that they wouldn't really come up to him. Enter Dad and his bright ideas...
Thats right...I put a bunch of pellets between his legs where the goats could actually reach and let Cosmo pet them at his own comfort level. Luckily, this guy didn't swing his head around much so there really wasn't any risk of getting jabbed with a horn.
I absolutely love this face...It's either a "Look what I found" face or a "Daddy, want a rock" face but either way, cute as ever.

Airport Days
I spend a lot of time driving around Bangor International Airport and love planes. I find sitting and watching planes to be very stress relieving primarily because it takes your mind off everything else. Most of the time what you see is the little Cesna's, commercial airlines, and the Mainiacs with their refueling jets but occasionally you get to see some cool aircraft come in. Here are some of the better shots I have of some of the more unique planes.
Long time, No posts.
So I've realized that my blog as gone by the wayside. The main reason is that I have had a lot go on in the past few months and it hasn't all been "online sharable" for personal reasons. I've still been living life and having a great time with the boys, but a lot of the activities and little road trips involved someone who I enjoyed spending time with, but have had to keep things somewhat private to avoid the high school type drama. I'm going to attempt to update this with everything I can thats gone on during those months in the next few days but it'll take time and effort. I have a ton of pictures to sort through before I can post them so that I'm not messing with peoples privacy and to pick out what I think are the best representations of the happenings. For the few people I have that actually get direct emails every time I post, sorry for the spam you are going to see the next time you check your mail.

Kenduskeag Canoe Race 2010
I took Cooper to the Kenduskeag Canoe Race again this year as something fun and free to do. While it a really raw and chilly day, he seemed to enjoy it a little. I think he would have had a lot more fun if it was a little warmer. It wasn't as exciting as it usually is either as the water was really very low do to the lack of a snowy winter. We did have a lot a rain throughtout but if you read some of the other blogs of people who watch the water levels and actually run the race, it appears that the water dropped about a foot in just the last week. Anway, its always fun to see the different themed boats and outfits people wear. Here's some of the fun we saw this year...
As usual, with over 400 boats, both sides of the river were loaded with boats waiting to go in and leave with their heat of 5. It seemed they had most of the kayaks heading out first this year leaving ahead of the canoes.
A couple of the racers on the bridge with their artistic use of duct tape... This guy didn't really have a heck of a lot going on other than a colored wig but he did have a video camera strapped to his head. There were actually a couple of people with cameras. Would love to see some of the footage from those. Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox...Believe this was Timber Tina from Survivor Redneck Flat-top / Mullet mask. Obama and his Secret Service even made an appearance...Captain Morgan made his second appearance as well. And here is some of the action from 6 Mile Falls...
And at the very end of the race in downtown Bangor, the tide was really high and one of the guys who paddled a white water boat down the river was playing around and bow tapping the bridges as he went under them. Pretty cool way to finish if you as ask me...
